AOA Instructor
I am a 1991 Graduate from Charleston High School.
I graduated with a BS in Education from the University of the Ozarks in 1995.
I began teaching at County Line in August of 1995 as a PE teacher and a part-time paraprofessional. In August of 1996 I was hired as a 3rd grade teacher. I taught third grade for 14 years and then moved to teach science in 5th and 6th grades. In February of 2016 I moved to the high school to fill-in as a paraprofessional for my son. I chose to stay in that position to finish out his senior year. In 2017 I was hired to start the Academic Opportunity Acadamy (AOA).
I am married to Kevin Shotzman. We were married in September of 1995. We have two sons. Jake, a recent County Line graduate, is a big Razorback and County Line Indian supporter and rider with Ainsley’s Angels of NW AR. Braden, still in school here at County Line, enjoys hunting, showing cattle, making jigs/lures, trapping, baseball, and being outdoors. I have one inside “princess”, Maggie. She is a very spoiled little dachshund. We have 4 outside dogs, lots of chickens, cattle, and horses.
My husband and I have a small horse sale business. When I’m not teaching, I like to be involved with my boys and thier activities. I have recently started running with Ainsley’s Angels. I also like to organize and craft. I like to read and watch criminal/mystery shows. My family likes to hunt together and go to exciting new places.
